These are some concert goers at the Da Vinci Days Festival in Corvalis, 2012. It is a quirky, fun festival that everyone should attend if they are in the area, featuring kinetic races, food and drink booths, performers, and scientific exhibitions.

This is a fantastic picture! I miss knowing when all the fun festivals/events are going on in my area.
Thanks! I know what you mean. The only reason that I knew about this one was it was going on while I was visiting family in Oregon. I have tried to steadily amass a calendar of local food/arts/crafts/heritage fairs and festivals. They are always interesting and fun places to attend and great places to photograph!
That they are! I always seem to find out about things right after they happen.
I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I think, “I should check when this festival is this year. Dang it! It was last Saturday.” At least it serves as a reminder for when it is next year. As for finding out about them, as old-schools as it may sound, local newspapers are a great source for what’s happening in the area.
That’s a great idea!
Additionally, sometimes local city websites sometimes have that information and also information on regularly occurring events, like farmers’ markets. Although, in my experience, those can be more hit and miss for festivals unless they are longer than one weekend, like a Ren Faire.
Yeah, I’ve found some stuff through the internet. The curse/blessing of Atlanta is that there is always so much to do, it can be a bit overwhelming.
I know exactly what you mean. I live in Southern California. Between Orange County and Los Angeles, there is always more festivals, concerts, and other interesting events than I can keep track of at any given time. Yet, that is also one of the blessings, as you said.
