Human Frailty and Hope
The human creature can be quite delicate. We fall apart without rest. We are easily hurt mentally, emotionally, and physically. We are hollow and lifeless without meaning and purpose. We cannot survive our first years alone, and we often crave the company of others. We die from a myriad of natural and unnatural causes. We are creatures of wanton destruction.
Yet, we are also creatures of hope. In spite of the death, in spite of the violence and destruction, in spite of the loneliness, in spite of the callousness of others, we raise our faces to the coming dawn, knowing that the delicate nature of humanity does not completely define use for there is also great strength in great weakness.
Wow!!
Thank you! If you don’t mind, was it photo or the writing or both that you enjoyed?
Both! Visited you for the photograph, loved the words a lot.
I’m glad you enjoyed them!
wow interesting statue.
Yeah, it really is. If you look closely, you can see that it appears to be made from seaweed, sea horses, and star fish.
Stunning image, powerful words.
Thank you!
