2013: A Reading Year in Review
I have seen lots of “year in review” posts on WordPress lately, many of which are very well-written. I considered doing the same thing, but after lots of thought, I still didn’t know where to begin. Plus, while it was a busy year, I didn’t know exactly what to highlight. Places I went to? Events I participated in? People I saw? I had no idea how what to include in a post.
Then, it occurred to me.
I could write a year in review, focusing only on the books that I have read this past year.
So, here is the list of books that have made up my past year (in no particular order):
- The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger by Stephen King
- The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of The Three by Stephen King
- The Dark Tower III: The Wastelands by Stephen King
- The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass by Stephen King
- The Dark Tower V: Wolves of The Calla by Stephen King
- The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah by Stephen King
- The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower by Stephen King

- The Chronicles of Prydain I: The Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander
- The Chronicles of Prydain II: The Black Cauldron by Lloyd Alexander
- The Chronicles of Prydain III: The Castle of Llyr by Lloyd Alexander

- David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell

Those are the books from this past year that I have read, as far as I can remember that is. I would like to write reviews for some of these books as blog posts here, but cannot decide which ones and there are too many to do all of them.
So, I leave this you: if you see a book for which you would like me to write a review, then please leave me a comment below. I look forward to hearing from you all.
#36 – Weapons of Mass Instruction – I have it on my reading list to read at some point. Was it worth it to read it?
I read One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest this past year (or late in the year before, I can’t remember). It is one of my favorites!
This was the first time that I had read it. I really enjoyed it! I’ve always had a soft spot for literary rebels like McMurphy or like Holden Caulfield.
As do I!
