A Place for Contemplation: UCR Botanic Gardens
Taken using my Nikon D300 and an AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm lens on 22 September 2011.
These three benches are tucked away in the UCR (U of California, Riverside) Botanic Gardens. Off the main path, they are a great place to sit and relax in the relatively quiet peace of nature. It is easy to forget that the city is less than a mile in any direction. Additionally, the gardens have a nice path through the various areas of the grounds for those that like an easy and short, but scenic hike. The monochrome effect was done using the in-camera settings as the shot was taken, not in editing software.
